Saguaro
The Saguaro is unique to Arizona and southern California. The Saguaro is very slow growing and takes up to 75 years before adding an arm.

The Red Door
Adobe bricks are made from the dirt,
sand and straw of the southwest.
This hacienda built of adobe bricks
is over 200 years old.  The turquoise
trim is typical of the architecture.
The bright red door is welcoming
to the weary traveler.

Chamisa Steps
The Chamisa plant blooms in late summer in New Mexico and is a harbinger of fall. It is sometimes called "Rabbitbush". The purple aster blooms at the same time. The combination of the yellow and purple is beautiful.
